Lunch

The PS166 cafeteria is proud to serve the city's alternative lunch menu. The alternative menu has fewer processed foods and more plant-based options than a traditional school menu. Additionally, more meals are made from scratch instead of processed foods. Healthy eating is a habit that we believe has a life-long impact.

Nut-free Table

At every lunch period there is one nut-free table. This table is not restricted to students with nut allergies so that children with allergies do not have to eat alone. But children with peanut butter, nuts or nut products in their lunch are not allowed to sit there. We cannot monitor items that may have been processed in a facility with nuts. We do not REQUIRE children with nut allergies to sit at the nut-free table, but if you want your child to sit there, please communicate this with your child’s classroom teacher.

NYC School Meals

All NYC public school students can enjoy free breakfast and lunch at school. You do not need to apply for your child to receive those meals. Read more about the NYC School Meals.
